Final Opening Sequence

This is my final version of my children's opening sequence for the show 'Sonny with a Chance.' The video begins with a purple piece of paper opening, with a jagged opening in the middle, revealing 'Sonny' in her bedroom and her phone ringing. She then answers the phone with a shocked look on her face and the camera moves in closer on her face to emphasise her astonishment and excitement of this phone call. Then, the camera stays on her face, and a plane begins to appear flying over her, and you see her in the window of the plane; the plane flies for a little while, before a cross-fade effect happens and it shows the plane going from one side of the map, which is her home, to the other, which is Hollywood. On the part of the map which is Hollywood, there is a small image of stage doors, which slowly come up closer to the screen until they fit the entirety of the video. These doors slowly open showing Sonny walking through Hollywood and looking around. Various things happen such as a sign appearing showing Hollywood Boulevard; the plane that she was in going past, a piece of writing appearing saying welcome to Hollywood, and flowers appearing beneath her feet. After this has finished, she turns to the side and see's the edge of a piece of text appear and looks shocked; then, the title comes in and Sonny tries pushing it so that it doesn't push her over until it comes into the middle of the screen and she smiles. To finish off, the purple-jagged piece of paper from the beginning comes back in and closes off the opening titles.

To achieve the effects in my opening sequence, I used a mixture of hand-drawn/made pieces that I had taken photograph's of, Photoshop Elements and the software iMovie. For example, things like when the purple-jagged piece of paper opens to start the sequence, that was achieved by me cutting up a piece of paper, taking a picture of it, then cutting around it in Photoshop. The flowers, which appear beneath her when she is in Hollywood, were hand-drawn by me and then I did the same as I did with the purple-jagged piece of paper, except I edited these once more when I got into Photoshop so that they stood out more. Finally, things like the title and the text saying 'Welcome to Hollywood' was all achieved by just simply using Photoshop and adding these elements onto the PSD's which I had cut out of my main character.
